Questions business owners ask
Does it work without internet?
Yes, the till does. Sales are saved on the device and sent automatically when the connection returns. Reports and settings need a connection.
Is it only for Tanzania?
No. WithOpp is built in Tanzania but works for businesses anywhere, in Kiswahili or English.
Can I sell services, not just products?
Yes. Salons, barbershops, repair shops, delivery and other service businesses can sell services without stock, alongside any products.
Does WithOpp connect to TRA EFD or VFD?
Not yet. In Tanzania, keep issuing fiscal receipts from your EFD or VFD as the law requires; WithOpp receipts are business receipts, not TRA fiscal receipts.
Which phones and computers does it work on?
Any recent Android phone, iPhone, tablet or computer with a modern browser. You can install it on your home screen like an app.
How much does it cost?
Nothing for the first 60 days. After that you choose Starter, Business or Enterprise - see Pricing above. If you do not pay, your data stays read-only: you can see and download it, but not record anything new.
Can my staff cheat the system?
Each person only sees what their role allows, every change is recorded with their name, and unusual sales are flagged for you to review.
What happens to my data if I leave?
You can download all of it at any time. When a paid period ends there is a grace period, then read-only access, and your records are kept so you can take a copy.
